This is just a reaction to an statement being expected this afternoon about the manager.  Sven's available straight away and in the country.  Bookies putting 2 + 2 together and getting 1,278,596.

At least it better fucking well be!!!

That's what I thought about MON resigning. Admittedly, those odds shortened at a pace that made this look like nothing, but still.

I thought Sven lived here now?

In which case his being in the country at the moment wouldn't really have much of an impact on his price, I'd have thought.

It's all over the place at the moment, who the fuck is Ralf Rangnick at 20s with b365?

Rangnick's a very good tactician who's done well with Hoffenheim. Mind you, had shitloads to spend there.

Maybe Sven joining the board in a sort of Director of Football role and helping choose a freash young manager?

His contacts would be quite useful in recruiting players, just as long as he's not manager!

I'd be surprised if they appoint anyone before Saturday, but taking advice from Sven might be possible..

Advice on how to pull women half your age maybe, on how to run a football club on a balanced budget no way.

This isn't the worst idea / theory in the world.  A short term contract until Mr Right comes along would be good by me.

I realise you probably didn't mean it, but nobody has actually said anything about balancing a budget, have they?

No, balls to Sven. I'd rather have MacDonald.

I wouldn't be horrified by this. Better than Curbishly, not as good as Jol. Would certainly be high profile and has many many contacts in the game. 12 month brief with a review then?

One of the websites has Danny Murphy at 284-1.  How marvellously random is that?

I think there would be better options but Sven isnt that bad. And his record is fantastic on the whole.

That's the implication of all this living within our means stuff.

It makes sense to have someone like him to oversee the incoming/outgoing transfers from a footballing perspective while also advising on the search for a new manager.

The mnore I think about it the more I'm liking the idea, but just to state it again I DO NOT WANT HIM AS OUR NEW MANAGER!!!

I'm pretty sure we're looking for an experienced manager and Jol does have an escape clause in his contract, so we could buy him from Ajax, he knows the area, has experience in the PL, the question is, are we prepared to really go out and get him.

As for Sven, as much as he claims to love football, his real love is money. I wouldn't touch him, not even as DoF. I'd much prefer to see somebody like Graham Taylor in that role. A great administrator, honest, loves the Club and somebody that could let the new guy focus on the playing side.

I wouldn't be horrified by this.

I would, this is the man last seen whoring himself at Notts County.
