Merson: "It's a shame Peter Reid's got the Plymouth job, he'd have been ideal"

Has he graduated from booze to crystal meth?

Jayz, he used to wear our number 10 shirt ..... snort on Merse, snort on.

I think Jol would jump at the chance of coming here - unfinished business with the Prem after Spurs.  He seems to have done a good job wherever he's been and would be my preference as it stands.

Dare I say it, I also think the ginger one from B9 could be a good bet.

The thought of Sven managing Aston Villa makes me feel physically sick.

Who is there to advise Randy on a new manager ? McDonald, Sid ?

Jol,Bilic,Moyes are the only decent choices i think.

My first thought earlier was Martin Jol. He did a great job a Spurs, not sure why they sacked him.

I can understand the clamour for Billc, but he has'nt managed a league club yet, it would be a bit of a risk.

Bob Bradley, a definate no. I'm not sure he'd handle the pressure very well, it would be a bit alien to him.

We could always wait to see if Capello get's fed up after Wednesday Night's no-hopers show up again.  :)

Personally I think that anyone saying "manager x, y and z are the only choices" is being extremely narrow minded.

There are scores of managers who might be good enough out there. It's just a case of someone in the right position making the correct decision between "might" and "will".

Some silly person on Radio 5Bloke has just said "Curbishley is by far the best English manager available" - then get a non-English manager then! Fool.

This isn't through Claret tinted glasses, and I do like Everton, but we do have a better set up than them(Ground, money etc) and unless he may get the Utd job one day(though that may take years),does anyone else think Moyes may be tempted by the job?
