OK. Let's take it with a pinch etc. But think about the guidence he could offer for Kev Mac.

er.. no you are probably right given the character, he would simply cause more shit than a large herd of pachyderms.

Strange though. It's a nice thought. Well it brought a smile anyway.

We saw Ron in a Par 3 celebrity golf tournament at Nailcote Hall a couple of weeks ago. He was the same as ever.  I nearly shouted 'come back, all is forgiven'.  He's certainly a character.

Forgive me. Tabloid trash or not - I am actually warming to the idea. I mean, I would love to see a really big name at VP ( not Sven) but I simply do not see anyone, anyone who is available that we could attract or would put us into a depressive state.

Then think of Faulkners statement to the World.

However, BFR - into Ellis entrance has a certain ring about it.                                         Sorry.

Is this really such a bad idea? And no I don't believe it either.

I wish Big Ron had been given the money Martin was. Now that would have been entertaining.

Kmac has been fortunate with the fixtures he's had and still done appallingly since west ham- we were outclassed by an Austrian league side and thrashed 6-0 by a promoted team , and then totally outplayed and outclassed at home to everton- I'm sure randy will have noted these displays and seen this man is nowhere near good enough for the job.

A great coach and inspiration to young players , and he deserves a pay rise for his efforts but a manager - no way!

We were not outclassed by Vienna, that's a ridiculous comment. We lost because we made some dreadfull defensive blunders, not because we were outplayed. We then battled extremely well to earn a victoty against Everton.

Agreed. Three ridiculous mistakes apart, we were easily the better side.

Firstly don't we all believe that Randy is generally an ethical guy?  I don't see him poaching/tapping up a manager under contract.

Secondly, there isn't an available candidate that hasn't been rubbished in one way or another on this board.  The ideal candidate does not appear to be available to the users of this site.

So, we're left with the least worse option,  KMac, for a season.  This will allow the right candidate to be put in place.

We talk about a "five year plan" often enough, surely this emphasises that Randy is in it for the long term.  He's prepared to wait, to sacrifice a season, to ensure the best long term outcome for the Villa.

Let's not forget that MON was responsible for signing the players we think are "dead wood".  MON was responsible for walking out on us at a time when the closest thing to the right candidate (Mark Hughes - and don't forget his comment on joining was "a good fit" - hardly enthusiastic) who'd just took a job.  MON was responsible for putting us in a position where we couldn't make new signings. Don't under estimate MON's planning at such time to create this situation.  It's not like we don't know that he holds a grudge when he falls out with someone.

MON is responsible for the shite we're in, which will mean effectively writing-off this season.
