Didn't Souness sign him for Rangers?

Nope, it was Walter Smith.

You're out by around a decade I think!

This made me laugh...
Quote
Sky pundit Graeme Souness, who after congratulating Spurs on their win, describes Gattuso as "a disgrace" who's not even a particularly good footballer and well past his sell-by date.

"I would love it if Gennaro Gattuso was locked in a room for 10 minutes with Joe Jordan," he says to Jeff Stelling, the implication abundantly clear that only one man would walk out when the door was unlocked and he wouldn't be an Italian.

It was actually funnier as Souness said 10 minutes and then said it wouldn't take that long so make it 5 minutes.

Didn't Joe Jordan play for AC Milan at one point? I'm sure there are a few Italians tonight chuckling away at Gattuso. Jordan was nails. Never in much trouble as nobody was mad enough to fight him.

Spurs were excellent tonight.

That wasn't fun admitting.

Gattusso head butted shoved and fouled all match and got booked for a good tackle!
Wilkins was way off, I only saw the second half in full and other than a breakaway goal it was all Milan and Wilkins was saying it was Spurs all over them. Ridiculous.

They played the game exactly how it needed to be played to get a draw and ended up winning it as well. While I think Milan are hugely overrated as a side you can't argue that Spurs were much the better side. It pains me to admit as well because I thought they were kind of getting by in the CL on beginner's luck and exuberance but it seems that it's going to take an excellent side to stop them at least reaching the final.

The first half was the total opposite, Milan offered absolutely nothing.

There was always going to be a spell of concerted pressure from them, though, and I thought Spurs handled it excellently, very intelligently, and scored an excellent breakaway goal.

Yeah and not too long ago they were bottom of the league. It can all change in a relative heartbeat.

Perhaps some of us are more interested in what's best for Aston Villa rather than petty parochialism? It is clearly not in our interests for a rival club to do well in Europe, getting more exposure and money in the process. It isn't that difficult to get your head around.

Absolutely.

I also don't want any English club who has never won it to do so now, I prefer it to be as exclusive a club as possible.
