Barton only getting yellow for a stud launching tackle - should have had red. Really dispice that ....

Thought it was a proper old fashioned physical tackle myself.  Wasn't two footed and he won the ball
More luck than anything that he doesn't snap a shin with that type of tackle. A bit like the Ashley Young tackle (he has only made one, right?), and got red.

Dangerous play hasn't got to injure someone to get penalized.

The type of tackle that would have been allowed a few years back. I didn't see a lot wrong with it. He wasn't late, he won the ball, wasn't two footed and I don't think he really launched into it.

The games gone soft. Can't put a decent thunderous tackle in any more, even if you do win the ball cleanly. And what about Ashley Cole screaming like a baby today when he was tackled and hardly touched. What a c&*t.

"Thunderous tackles" can still be very dangerous though. We'll just excuse the player for making a down right dangerous tackle just because he got a slither of the ball...

You miss the point, I said a 'decent' thunderous tackle. Nothing wrong with them at all.

FIFA would first need to set up a six-man panel to agree the definition of 'thunderous'

Ashley Cole simply cheated yesterday. He'd realised the ref was dishing out cards all of the shop and decided to try and cash in.

Never liked him.

You're singling him out from the other 'x' hundred players who do the same, casting a surreptitious glance at the referee whilst they are rolling around in agony? I agree with you totally mind you...

Cracking goal for Huddersfield just!

The ref's chewing gum too. Don't like to see that. Sets a bad example to children and doesn't look professional.

A few Chelsea players cottoned on to that after 10 mins.

Terry should of got a red for his disgraceful assault on Ash. It was much worse of a foul than any of our fouls on any Chelsea players.

And he still had the balls to moan at the ref about it!
