No it doesn't Dave.

You don't know me so don't make any libelous accusations... saying things which aren't true can get you into some trouble in real life. Just plz stop with the holier-than-thou attitude like you've never ever said something bad in your lives which may cause offence.

Like I said earlier this week, people lash out saying things they don't mean and then later regret them. I know someone who once shouted 'gay abuse' towards a football player depsite having 2 gay friends... if he was homophobic why would he have 2 gay friends?

[What on earth are you on about?

tbh, after having my ass grabbed by some creepy old gay man last week I don't think I'd feel comfortable myself personally sharing a locker room with a gay. If I was in a football team with a gay I'd make it clear to stay clear of me when I take a shower, someone staring at my manhood whilst I'm showering would freak me out
And that makes me homophobic?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Keep up with the libelous accusations kiddo.

Yes, just because they're gay dosen't mean they want to have sex with every male they come across.

I reckon you'd have a hard time getting this one to court, err, kiddo.

Would you like a 'hard time'?
I know a good place.

It's not fucking homophobic, just stop already with this whole 'ganging up clique mentality' - we're on the internet, if you really want to make serious accusations come and see me at the Villa and say it to me, not behind a keyboard where anyone can say anything in there own anonymity.

If I was 'homophobic' then why do I get on perfectly fine around gays? Like I said, you don't know me, you've never met so stop trying to clutch at straws by me saying something in tongue and cheek (I guess that sort of humour doesn't catch on).

If he shouts gay abuse why would 2 gays be his friend? If you think every gay you might come into contact with fancies you, then you're either incredibly arrogant or homophobic.

So you've never ever once in your life shouted something at the football you probably shouldn't of i.e. swearing at a player or referee then minutes later clapping the ref for a decision or a player for doing something great?

Like I said, it's human nature for people to lash out and say things when they don't mean too - if that person I know really meant what he said then i doubt he'd have 2 gay friends he gets on really well with and I'm sure he probably regretted what he said later on.

Where in this have you shown any 'tongue in cheek' humour?

It's strange for someone to get on well with certain people then use their sexuality/colour/disability/whatever as a term of abuse and a million times removed from changing your opinion on a player depending on their last action.

Do your gay friends know that you, I assume deliberately and not spur of the moment under the excitement of posting on H&V, typed the line:

"I don't think I'd feel comfortable myself personally sharing a locker room with a gay. If I was in a football team with a gay I'd make it clear to stay clear of me when I take a shower, someone staring at my manhood whilst I'm showering would freak me out"?

If you fancy meeting for a pint I know a cracking little boozer at the end of Hurst Street that should be right up your alley.

If you heard me say it in 'real life' and how I would say it then I'm sure you would find I wasn't saying it in a serious manner. I must make sure in the future that people don't take my posts too seriously when it's not supposed to be serious.

Just stop now with this homophobic nonsense this pathetic, completely untrue and cowardly accusations all started by the man who is always moaning about my posts. Would it be fair for me to call someone racist next time someone criticizes one of our black players? No it wouldn't.

Okay, I'll take it as a joke (although I'm almost completely sure it wasn't in the context of the way the thread was going at the time), and take back my accusation that you are a homophobe. I will, however, still have plenty of doubts.

Depends on the context (that word again). If it was something along the lines of :

"That lazy black bastard Young was shit again."

Then yes, it would be racist. If it was:

"Young was shit again."

Then no, it wouldn't. Hopefully even you can see the difference.

Your condescending attitude sucks btw "hopefully even you can see the difference"... whatever man in his 50's on an internet forum (oh noes, now I'll be accused of being ageist).

I don't think some people on here understand or even grasp that people can say things when angry or frustrated but infact don't realise/understand what they're actually saying... especially at a football match, or even calling a person who can't drive properly a 'wanker' or whatever. People can say things in the heat of the moment when they lose control, doesn't mean they actually mean what they're saying - even an expert in physcology probably knows that; but hey ho, you just keep up your libelous opinions of someone you've never actually met.

I'm just gonna drop it now and take the mature approach. I know I'm not a homophobe and SO DO PEOPLE IN REAL LIFE WHO KNOW ME VERY WELL KNOW THAT TOO, NOT SOME STRANGER ON THE INTERNET WHO HAS NEVER MET ME.
