The last set of accounts showed that in terms of share capital and loans from the trust, Randy had injected over £200m into the club.  That was only up to May 2009 though, so as I say, I imagine the figure is well over £250m by now.

But if that's partly loans, then should that be viewed in the same way as any money directly 'given' to the club?  He's not out of pocket by whatever is loaned via the trust in the same way he is for the initial purchase price and any capital he's injected since.

The loans have to be paid back though John  If you buy a house for £200K, and spend £50K doing it up, you'll want £250K back as a minimum if you sell it.

I'd say in the £100-200million region probably around at least £150million.

Yes, but should those loans, which are presumably charged to the club, not be taken into account when deciding a price?

Using your example, if the house had a £50k debt against it, wouldn't the buyer offer £200k knowing he'd be getting an asset worth £250k, but know he'd have to fork out an extra £50k to clear a debt?
