Meh, he's a bit of an arse but he was passionate when he was here.

I could see his obvious personality flaws and never really took to him, but I didn't mind him.

Hoped he'd get one final chance under MON and unleash some of the potential.

Someone I go the Villa with knows him relatively well, comes out with loads of soundbites. Lee saying Ashley is 'nothing special' apparently.

Deal in doubt due to Lee's wage demands.

I always find that possibly a misleading line. Maybe his wage demands aren't excessive. Maybe Aberdeen don't have enough money to pay him what would be the 'normal, 'average' amount.

Actually you're right they don't pay that much.

However, with Lil' Lee's career having denigrated to such a level due to his attitude and abject failure to live up to his talent that he can only get a contract at a club who will pay him a weekly pittance perhaps he should just demand less?

Always wonder what would have become of him had he had a decent manager to put him in his place.

Starting out he was in the same England U21's as Frank Lampard, and looked the brighter prospect of the two.

Bit of a twat, but he's not on his own there as far as modern footballers are concerned.

Who would have thought out of that England U-21 midfield Lampard would end up the title winner with Hendrie winding up at Aberdeen & Bowyer at SHA.

It's probably for the best.

The wee fella would not survive an Aberdeen winter, with that freezing easterly blowing up his keester.

Anybody know anything about James Collins Junior being on trial with Aberdeen with a view to a loan move?

I'm told he played for them yesterday at Tamworth.

EDIT: Also heard they offered a contract to Hendrie that will make him their highest earning player.

Played the second half, likes to be known as "Jim" these days apparently!

I didn't go but from spurious reports he played well and was very unlucky with a volley he set up for himself.

They've just signed Paul Hartley.

I don't think they'll sign Lee as well. Pity as I was looking forward to see him playing the trojan horse.
