Lovely, Dunne asked Carew if he wanted the ball on his chest. Then gets it spot on to his chest.

Luke Young has been living up to the criticisms of him like a stereotype. He jumps in so poorly, no positional sense whatsoever. By contrast, Petrov's looked our only footballer worth of the name at times, the rest can be so rudimentary on the ball.

JC looks/works/scores like a centre forward should do!

I don't know if the transfer will come to pass but David Luiz will fit right in at Chelsea. A great player, but also a fouling, whinging arsehole.

I'll tell you what else change. Reo-Coker is unbelievably poor on the ball. Like, unacceptably bad.

I thought he had played pretty much every game until this evening.

Not for me, Carew is much better in a two.

I wouldn't worry too much, Benfica are an excellent team, much better than what West Ham will come up with. I say that without knowing if the likes of Cardozo, Saviola, Aimar and David Luiz are playing? If not then time to worry but we did beat Feyenoord 3-1 last night so I wouldn't be slitting my wrists at this.

Looking at the score and performance, we fit in with the likes of Feyenoord, but are clearly a class below the top European teams. We're Europa League standard right now, and it shows both domestically and in games against European teams with significantly more technical ability.

NRC would be a good player if he had even the most average of passing ability. I'd still play him ahead of Sidders though.

Been wondering for years where Tony Morleys hair was, the Benfica coach had it all along .
