How much would Manuel Fernandes cost? Looks a pretty good playmaker type. It is only a friendly I suppose

Like Coleman's been saying, Beye's played encouragingly well so far. Maybe we could get a decent year out of him yet.

My main problem so far has been that Ash has not been behind Carew, but in fact the two have played alongside each other, which frankly suits nobody. Ash can't create anything, he's not aiding the midfield to keep the ball (frankly he should be part of the midfield) and defensively it's a problem because, by the team Valencia reach the halfway line they're goal side of Ash, meaning one of Petrov or NRC gets dragged out of position. It's like a stereotype of the problems of 4-4-2.

The full backs and two wingers are looking good. As OCD said a few pages back we just lack that cutting edge. Our use of the ball has been a bit better too. Even Reo-Coker is completing a few passes. The wrong ones mind.

Also I'd like to see the wingers on the opposite sides, when it's left footer on the left and vice versa for the right I feel we look a little stretched.

Same old, same old. We get so far up the pitch but don't really look like scoring. This may only be a friendly but you can see the same problems at home repeating themselves again this season...

I think we are playing well. Better than our line up tonight would suggest I reckon.

Where's Davies? Have we got a deal lined up or he is another defender with a knock? I would have expected he would have come on for Dunne.

Has a slight knock apparently. Best not to risk him given his injury record.
