BOHEMIANS VS VILLA - JULY 24TH
« on: July 18, 2010, 12:26:50 PM »
Folks,
I live in Ratoath, a village just outside of Dublin, where this Saturday, we will be playing Bohemians as part of the pre-season friendlies.

If you are coming over and want to know where to meet and drink before and after the game, bang me a mail

Apropos of nothing, I've got some friends in Ratoath, they live on the new estate on the left as you come past the Gaelic Football ground on the right if you were coming from the motorway.

Sounds like they are just before the Village by "Super Valu" supermarket, not far "The Auld Stand" informal HQ of Ratoath Villa!!

Are you over for the gae?

No I'm not John, I didn't even know it was on until I read your post.

I remember there was a nice Italian restaurant up a flight of stairs above some shops, I've not been for a couple of years.

Where's the best place to get a beer by the ground at Dalymount?

several god pubs around the ground

the hut small old style pub
bohemian mooney  bohs pub
conan doyles
porter house for food and a micro brewery worth a visit
red windmill for food also
there are  acouple of others whose names escape me   one beside the canal which used to be bushes

plenty of room for all

Sounds like the Italian above The Auld Stand pub

Lets hope we do the biz on Saturday, and if you're over ever, drop us a line!

John
