Love the jacket. but please Randy the one thing you have done wrong since your arrival is turn us into AVFC. We are ASTON VILLA. All the other nike clubs have the same jacket, with their proper name on the back so why not us!!!

It's odd because I remember a few of us being annoyed when our badge changed to Aston Villa and dropped the FC a few years back when we became a plain old PLC.

What I think the new regime has tried to do is draw attention to the fact that we are once again, primarily a football club. I prefer AVFC to Aston Villa (silent) PLC personally.

They both look fine. Particularly like the jacket but would wear the polo too. Btw. I wonder what a woman would say re. the colour of the polo top....My mum always rebuked me and dad for not realising that it was mauve or violet not purple.....

Yes, we are Aston Villa. That's what the A V stands for. See also: banners and flags around the ground and other sporting events with AVFC proudly emblazoned on it.

Of course, I'd like to go back to a version of the round badge with Aston Villa FC on it but I can understand why they've gone with it on the new badge as you can make it bigger with just 4 letters. Plus, the fans use the abbreviation a lot.

I really like the purple top. It's the Gnu's Gonads.
I like the training gear being a bit different, the purple is a good choice because it doesn't look like any other teams kit.  The red training gear from last season always looked a bit odd with the Villa badge, i always thought it looked a bit Arsenal.
The Lion rampant in a neutral colour looks great, it certainly looks better than the official club badge.
Although i don't like the AVFC, it is very instantly recognisible, i would imagine all Bristol City fans would welcome such a unique acronym.
