I loved both of those shirts - in fact i think it is the only season i bought both home and away

we had a team to match it as well

Ahhhh yes Guy Whittingham, from what I remember we were shite until Brian Little took over soon after??

In fact after checking we finished 18th with that kit!!!

Bloody hell, the first two wouldn't look out of place in Carson Yeung's wardrobe.  Nasty clobber.

The 2nd one.... a sepia tapestry effect?  Certainly different is the best I can say about it.

I'll put money on it being claret bodied, with blue sleeves.

If it's actually reasonably different to last years, I'll buy it, but I opted out of last seasons, because it was near identical to the year before.

I opted out of last years because it was so similar to the year before. If its similar this season I will opt out again

It's a classic commercial dilemma for the club.  The fans demand a traditional kit, but when they stay traditional the kits are obviously going to be similar year-on-year, meaning many fans - like yourself - won't buy them.

I would imagine - but have no evidence to back this up - that they probably sell more shirts when they go non-traditional and vary the design quite a lot, but the result is a lot of disgruntled traditionalists.

If it's traditional in design I'll buy 5 to even things up a bit.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but on Aston Villa Direct there's some training where that I've not seen before. It looks very, VERY retro.

Take a look for yourselves... Blue jacket, pre-match top, and purple travel polo.

Quite like the jacket.  No kung-fu star.

never mind the new kit. I just ordered last years home shirt from club shop. since I had last used it I moved address so I changed it straight away. But when the order confirmation came I realised it still had the old one. (I had failed to enter something and in sending me back to the form it must have re-entered my old address). I emailed customer services straight away (5 minutes after placing the order) explaining what happened and giving them new address. After a miserable exchange of e-mails they told me that the package is ready for collection  and it isn't their liability. Last time I will use the online club shop. Grrrr
