Finally over 70-68 to the American, the bastards decided to finish just as the Italy game was getting good so I missed it.

They had some ceremony at the end, felt sorry for the French bloke he just wanted to get off there.

John Inverdale did managed to get in the way a bit but he wasn't as bad as when he asked John McEnroe last night if they should be allowed to put a substitute on. Mac's look could have melted steel.

It will probably never happen again as they will have to reconsider the no tie-break in the final set rule.

As such, anybody wanting to make a career out of writing books about tennis world records, think again! The records have probably been broken to be never broken again!

I'm not sure you could make that much money out of a tennis book anyway. Unless it had nudey lady pictures in it, then acwilliams would buy 50,000 copies with the money embezzled from the BNP Christmas Party fund.
