just got mine in the post and was it not the youth team players with the placards. You can clearly see in the background Graydon in normal kit.

So some of the 74 FA youth winners at the Sunderland game ?

As I recall, it was always (well, for about three seasons anyway), the youth/reserves walking round with the placard while the first-teamers warmed up.

And we won the FA Youth Cup in '72, not '74, although some of those pictured dominated the Southern Junior Floodlit Cup for a few years around that time.

I got one, and i'm not a season ticket holder so guess its gone to all fans that have been to games this year?

When my sister sent thank you cards after her wedding, I said the same.  She argued that is was a polite thing to do, would be seen as a nice gesture, didn't cost to much and relationships are important.  She went on to state that if she didn't send some out certain people would argue about not getting some acknowledgement from them.

Ive asked my postman to direct all my nice post directly to the bin. Saves me the trouble.

It's a nice touch, you don't often get "thank yous" off the people you spend money with.

It's cost the club £10k-£15k? so it's not as it's broke the bank and it probably will act as a reminder to a few people to get season tickets... it would only need 30 odd re-newals (out of 30000 cards sent out) to make it worthwhile.
