There's no substitute for pace in Rugby League!

There was a very good scrap in the first half tonight too, I'll post a vid whenever it makes it to YouTube.
Unsurprisingly Queensland romped home to make it 5 Origins on the bounce.

Never liked League I have to say.
Too many stupid rules, too few men.

I saw today's brawl; never seen a State of origin game before. A fella headbutted another, then punched him square on the nose. His punishment? He was 'on report', ie he played on! It was 10 0 at that stage. Good fun!

Too many stupid rules, too few men. Same here. I've always thought that the support play was terrible. The only good memories I have of "The Northern Game" is watching Eddie Waring do games on BBC2 on Wednesday nights in the 70's. For some reason they only showed the second half of any game.

It was 10 0 at that stage. Good fun! That was a disgrace. Any other NRL game and he'd have been off, but because it was the Origin he gets away with it. I was more surprised though that Jarred Hayne* didn't start a scrap! *He is the Rooney of Rugby League over here - fantastic talent, with the same sort of temper.

That is great doesn't even get sent off or sin binned haha! WTF !?!.............. no one got sent off or binned. There was just a penalty and one bloke told "you've got to calm down". 1) the tackle deserved a sending off and a lengthy ban 2) the headbutt followed by the punch (whilst the other guys arms were being held) deserved the same as well. And we moan about refereeing in football. The officials should be banned as well.

The officials at the game ought to be ashamed of themselves!

Well the offending player got a 3 week ban for the tackle.
And no action taken over the headbutt!
That's twice in the past week or so a player has headbutted another and no action has been taken.

That's twice in the past week or so a player has headbutted another and no action has been taken. A bloke on my local Rugby Union (ie proper Rugby) team got a year ban for a headbutt. Mind you, it was the Ref that he butted. Just three weeks for the tackle seems a bit lenient.

SoO is brilliant. When I visitd Aus about 10years ago we were based in Brisbane and attended a mates BBQ. Darren Lockyer was there and a good bloke. Go Maroons!
