I always think Villans is a shite nickname. Prefer Lions.

No way.  Lions is a boring nickname and as common as muck.  Villans has a bit of individuality about it.  It's ten times better.

Can't we be Aston United for next season ?

We don't need a nickname. We are Villa.

It's like Forest/Palace/Argyle. Whenever someone asks who you follow, you only have to say 1 sweet little word and people know instantly who you mean.

None of this common as muck City/Albion/United bollocks.

Personally, I dont generally find myself using the terms Villains or Villans. I will join in a good rousing chorus of "Come on your Lions". Also what could be more brummified than a good old fashioned shout of "Come on me Villa babeeees" ?

Oh no, Chrissie, you'll have upset Chico with that comment. He can be frightfully pedantic in explaining that Chico Hamilton I was a jazz player from the 30s, and our 70s flair player Chico was actually Chico Hamilton II. Chico III may be a maverick in many ways but he does like to get his facts right. When he's sober.

Dat Eamonn sounds like a wise fella though, may the Trinity Road rise with you. P.S. By the way Ian "Chico" Hamilton the 1st, Fecking great player or what !
