Threat of rain and bad light in Leeds this morning may delay the inevitable for the bears!

Can we cling on for another glorious draw? (we're becoming like North Korea).

Warwickshire keen on Eoin Morgan

Warwickshire have made an approach to Middlesex about the possibility of signing England batsman Eoin Morgan.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Warwickshire are keen to sign Morgan, 23, at the end of the season when his contract with Middlesex runs out and a club spokesman confirmed the situation, but added his current county had put a new deal on the table.

"I can confirm that we have been contacted by Warwickshire about the possibility of signing Eoin Morgan," he said. "I have been in contact with [Middlesex director of cricket] Angus Fraser this morning and he is very keen that Eoin stays at the club. We have offered Eoin a new contract and we hope he will sign it."

Morgan has been pivotal in England's recent limited-overs resurgence, blending power with invention as he helped them win the World Twenty20 tournament and beat Australia 3-2 in the recent 50-over series, where he was named Man of the Series.

He has enjoyed a seven-year relationship at Middlesex, who brought him over from his native Dublin. Having made his Test debut in the recent series against Bangladesh, Morgan is hoping to cement his place before the Ashes, but faces stiff competition from Jonathan Trott.

Ashley Giles, Warwickshire's director of cricket and also an England selector, has watched Morgan's rise closely and is eager to bring him to a Warwickshire side struggling in Division One. However, with Morgan's rising international stock it is debatable how much county cricket he will play in the future

Anybody know the extent of Troughton's injury?

He's retired hurt, but we could do with him batting again, if we're going to have any chance of a draw.

The Morgan link is ridiculous. He plays 20/20, 1 dayers and now test cricket for England. The reason we need someone to strengthen the batting is because Trott and Bell are playing a lot of games for England, now we want to sign someone who will play about 4/5 games a season.

Hit on the head by a bouncer from "mind the windows" Tino Best.

'Troughton went to hospital for treatment on a nasty cut above his right eye but is expected to bat today.'

The chances of all 3 playing in the same England side are slim so it might turn out OK. If Morgan plays then Trott probably won't and vice versa.

He's in now, batting at 11, we're around 200 ahead. Should be a decent finish.

edit: he's now out.

Yorkshire need exactly 200 to win.

Guessing there's about 30 overs of cricket left??

Heading for a draw, Yorkshire require 91 off 13 overs with 8 wickets remaining.

Get in there!

Stuff your hit and run rubbish, a proper game of cricket played over 4 days and comes down to the last 20 deliveries of the match. Top of the league, i'm bloody amazed.

Bears win in the Twenty20 again. Barker is developing into a good Twenty20 all-rounder, handy as Carter isn't getting any younger.

Westwood scored the winning runs!

Good chance of a home Quarter-Final now.

I agree but I don't see the logic of signing a player who could be on a central contract for a few years to come. Having three centrally contracted players in your squad provides very little benefit to the Bears.
