Must admit I'm not too fussed we haven't signed anyone.

I think we have enough in all areas bar central midfield to get us through to January especially being out of europe again.

Yep fair play Spurs and for the third time today I find myself looking enviously at a another club's additions.

Isn't the deadline six o'clock or does that only apply to certain teams?

We can't say shit we did exactly the same with Dunne last year!

The difference was the Dunne deal was pretty much completed a day before including medical and personal terms agreed with the stumbling block being Man Citys reluctance to pay him off.

As by his own admittance the first thing 'Arry knew about it was at 4 pm I would be surprised if the terms were agreed before 6pm let alone medicals or anything else. They have probably done an Arsenal by sending some fax stating intent to the FA/PFL and then will spend the next 8 hours doing the rest.

All the players we've hoped for, VDV, Hleb going to other clubs, following Villa is like always being a bridesmaid, it seems once again we've got so far but the final step was too much. If Kev gets the nod i wouldn't be suprised if Randy is looking round for a buyer.

I really don't understand this pining for Hleb. He's not what we need at all and is more of the same as what we've already got and if I recall Arsenals fans complaints from his time, he is a bit of a dick.

Personally I would have loved Hleb, particularly if we're going to play one up front for most of the season.

Whilst Albrighton has been good I'm not sure I would trust him for the whole year, indeed I don't think it would be good for his development.  Having Helb would give us options for all of Young, Downing, Albrighton and Ireland.

If Albrighton's good enough, then he'll play. Playing will never be bad for his development. The boy will have learnt more about the defensive requirements of a winger in the Premier League on Sunday than he ever could watching from the bench or in 15 minute bursts.

Personally I'd rather it stayed open and was allowed to bob up and down the first page and still give people a one-stop-shop to discuss the next three months of press and paper speculation.

I thought the German Bundesliga didn't allow clubs with massive debts in their league.
