Got some work done and none of this SKY bollocks watching Big Ben tick away like its a countdown to some Galactic peace summit plus all the roving idiots with hordes of morons behind them cheering the latest loan signing of Julio Randomo from FC Sporta Club de fucnose as their desperate clubs try to appease them after the agents have screwed every penny they can out of whoever they can.

Hey ho! Lets hope the new gaffer can get by with what we have.

It's not like we're any more threadbare than last season as some players who were frozen out are now back on the reckoning. A new boss can hopefully work with what he's got and keep us in a decent position until he can bring in the defensive midfielder and striker we are crying out for.

O'Neill left in plenty time for us to get a new manager who at least could have got in a couple of players. Instead of waiting on KevMac and then doing this 'interview process'. We should have headhunted and got someone in and really showed ambition. I believe Randy and the board have dithered, therefore saving money bringing in any new players. Not that I can blame Randy I must add, spending another £20m or so to finish 6th isn't really economical when spending zero will give us 7th/8th anyway.

Incidentally did you see MacDonald's interview where he said how O'Neill had called him before the West Ham game to talk about the scouting report he'd done on them. I'm as pissed off as anyone that he walked out but I think some of you are getting just a tiny bit carried away with yourselves.

   MON resigned 3 weeks ago, you can't blame him for us not buying anyone.


  1st of all we are getting a manager before the Noocastle game, then we are waiting to find out how we get on in Europe, then we are waiting for KMac to decide if he wants the job or not.

  Now he might have left us unexpectedly, but there has a been a distinct lack of urgency at VP to appoint a manager.

  Begs the question......why?


  If KMac is appointed then it indicates to me that the board had no intention of buying anybody this transfer window, and conveniently use MONs departure as the reason.

  If the next manager is currently available , and not in work, then as above.

  If the next manager is currently in work, then fair enough, you have to wait for their appointment.

  Still very uncertain times down VP for me.

Possibly our worst pre season in recent history.

Our best player sold and not replaced AGAIN..... It's so fucking frustrating supporting this team. We never know whether were on our arse or our elbow!!!!

We replaced him with Ireland and a pot of cash.

But that aside, I agree.  I think we need a couple of "marked improvements" in the starting 11 to really make progress.
