Why couldn't we make a loan offer for Keane, i assume he'd much rather stay in the UK and spurs probably don't see us as a rival. I can understand not wanting to spend mega money while theres no manager in place, but something like this would not be much of a risk

I think loan players couldn't been bought in. Great signing for Blues in Hleb. I can't imagine that any incoming manager wouldn't want him. I guess we'll just have to wait and see now, it's easy for those in charge to say the spending policy hasn't changed bearing in mind that the new manager will find it hard to sign quality players in January anyway!!!

I suppose we will see next pre season...

I'd have been pissed off if Hleb had gone to any English club as he's just what we need, and on loan too so there is no risk.
