If the board did do something in the transfer market, such as buying Huntelaar on loan, without having a permamnent manager in place, how would people react. Would you see it as the board intefering, or would you praise them for being pro-active?

Normally i would say absolutely no way whatsoever to loans, i hate them, we are not some strpped for cash league 2 outfit. However, under the circumstances and in terms of the player you are talking about i would quite welcome it.

I'll be glad when the window shuts tomorrow night. Still have nagging doubts over Ash. The left back cover is none existant - Shorey gone, Bouma released and even O'Halloran released - meaning only Warnock as a natural. If he gets injured who fills in? We all saw the result of Beye against  Rapid Vienna. Surely we could get a couple of loan signings in? I just hope that come the end of tomorrow we haven't released yet more squad players without replacements coming in. It drives me mad when we leave ourselves short and are branded a ''small squad''!!!

The Tesco bag wearers have signed Scharner on a free, decent signing for them.

I'm hoping (and dreaming) that Citeh loan AC Milan Robinho with view to a permanent deal next summer, then in turn AC loan us Huntelaar and Flamini, as were no threat to them like Spurs are in the CL, with view to a permanent deal if the new manager likes them!

We won't sign anyone tommorrow.

Not too fussed as it's a decent squad that even in the turmoil and injuries to a few key players has
won two of the opening three games. The only area I think we're vulnerable if we get an injury or
two is central midfield.

True - but that is because three of our five central midfielders are injured. When Ireland, Sidwell and Delph are back we'll have our full complement.

Not saying that Reo-Coker or Petrov getting injured WOULDN'T be a bad thing, but we do have five usable central midfielders on the books at the moment.

I think a loan in centre midfield would be the one understandable deal without a manager with our injuries there.

I hope in 24 hours we will get this news

Ottmar Hitzfeld become Villa No 1, and Jurgen Klinsmann to be his no 2, with

Huntelaar (on loan) and Flamini and Klose to join Aston Villa.

Leicester City to sign Heskey for free.
Petrov to rejoin Celtic.

From another thread.

went to have a look on some Everton forums, most seem to think it is balls, some think there could be something in it.  What was far more surprising was someone posting that Warnock for Baines and 2mil was a done deal tomorrow!?

Probably bollocks but interesting.

O'Neill's best window was in January.
I would say the Friedel - Guzan - Young - Cuellar - Milner window was his best.

If you ignore the fact that Shorey and Sidwell were signed in that window as well.

Guzan is terrible, Friedel hasnt been any better than Sorensen. Cuellar - meh, Luke Young - good player but 6m? Milner was a good investment alright though was only when he moved to central midfield that he blossomed

His first Jan when he swapped Baros for Carew and brought in Ashley Young was a good window for the club.

Albion linked with sidwell for £3m - take the cash and get rid!
Sidwell has turned them down and wants to fight for his place. Rejoice!

No he won't.  He would rather wear a blouse.
