The Noses have signed N’Zogbia for just shy of £10 million. That’s a lot of money for a lot of mediocre player.

Exactly what I was thinking. Small Heath have had this weird obsession with N'Zogbia since the transfer window opened... he's gone from Newcastle to Wigan and now to the noses (hardly a step up). I'd love to know why small heath were stupid enough to pay double for an inconsistent left-back; it seems Alex Mcleish has gone down the 'MON route' of paying well over the odds for an average player.

Didn't Wigan pay about £3.5 about 18 months ago? He wanted to come to Villa at the time but MON rejected him because his wage demands were too low. N'Zogbia doesn't realise that he's signed for the only club that could have soured Pele's career.

Does anybody remember when we signed Ash, Potato Head said 'If he's worth £10M, what price Gary McSheffrey?'. McSheffrey left on a free this summer so I suppose Bruce's question has answered at last.

Come on guys let's not be silly, Bale is a quality player who would have been off this year or next I spurs never had CL football.

Erm... I seem to remember Ashley Young being labeled 'world class' 18 months/2 years ago? Bale is no better when Ash went through his period of being unstoppable. Ash was the best left-winger in the league in 07/08 and carried that form on (his performances were actually better) through to 08/09 for half of the season. I just see a lot of over-hyped-ness regarding Bale, it's only been recently old twitch didn't give him a second chance until some spurs player got injured.

Ash got his Young Player of the Year award for a reason... because he deserved, lets see if Bale can keep the consistency and earn himself that award.

Indeed. Bale is playing well right now but the best in the world, or even England imo, is just silly. They want Ashley of that i am sure.I would not blame Ash right now for wanting to go there, just hope the club start communicating to fans and players some positive vibes soon.
