I work with a Leicester fan who's been banging on all summer about Ivanhoe going home.  Every time he mentions it I offer to give him a lift as far as Hinckley one morning, but still haven't had that phone call.

Hopefully these Thais have got more money than sense.

Heskey has three years left? Surely not, he'd be pushing 36 at the end of his contract...

Signed age 31 on a 3.5 year contract.

How much use we thought we'd be getting out of a 33 or 34 year old Emile is beyond me.

It would be great to have got him on a 2 year deal, but players simply don't accept that at the age of 31.

Not that I'm a fan of Emile, but surely its replacement in then Emile out? I know he is bad, very bad, but if Gabby is injured and big JC, the frontline looks thin to say the least!!

Delfoueso can step up. How bad is Weimann's injury?

A cardboard cut out of Gabby would still be more effective than Heskey. I quite like the man and know he has some talents it's just that he's utterly useless to us.

I may be way off base here, but does anyone else think K-Mac may not rate the Fonz?  I just thought it was peculiar that he put Weimann on ahead of him against West Ham and didn't start him in Vienna, which most of us expected him to do.

Live and work in Leicestershire and have heard from three different sources today that the big teddy bear is on his way back to them. Nothing massively substantiated (brothers mate etc. etc.) but a lot of people are obviously talking about it.

If we're going to strat playing 1 up front, we really only need 3 strikers.
Gabby, Carew and Nathan are more than enough.

The answer was simply then... don't bloody sign him then!

Maybe he's got him in mind for Newcastle and he mentioned players who had played in international week - Fonz had played a fair bit with England hadn't he?

O please let Heskey be on his way. Just having him out of the equation would be as good as signing a new striker.

I thought I saw the KM said the reason Fonz was not involved against West Ham was that he thought Weimann (sp?) had been better in pre-season than Fonz.  At the time I thought perhaps it was a "kick up the backside" comment and that perhaps he thought Fonz might be getting a bit too big for himself.

He basically said that Fonz was a confidence player and having not scored for a while and as Weimann had scored a couple against Walsall, he was the in-form striker.

Surely the correct way to manage a squad. Reward players that do the business and incentivize those who need to improve. Certainly beats picking players week in week out regardless of how shite they are.

Since Fonz came on the seen I've been disapointed by him he hasn't developed anymore. Resently I feel to the extent as though he may have gone backwards. If Heskey was to leave I like us to get a big name play like Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for 8million rising to 13 million on performances. Don't think he want's to come to England tho.
