I thought Bellamy was wanted by Redknapp? I know Cardiff is his hometown club but would be really choose them over Spurs? Perhaps Man City were unwilling to let him go to a rival.

Bellamy has always wanted to go back to Cardiff and play apparently, so it's only a surprise since he can still tear up trees at the level above. But he strikes me as that much of a contrary bloke that he'd deliberately screw up ever playing in the PL again just to prove a point.

How about he is pissed off with Citeh and wants to be nearer his family and help his home town club achieve something

just read this on another thread

Not going to read anything in this but i think Milner is going to stay.....

villa man in the know Brendan McLoughlin (writes for express and star and sportlife) has just told me (facebook chat) that he has had news just a few hours ago of a major turning point at villa.

i asked him what and he refused to tell me so i tried reverse questions...and sorry but...

he refused to say if it was anything about Milner

he refused to say if it was anything about new signings

all he did say was it had nothing to do with MON (i asked if it was) who he is friends with.

it will be in his paper once he has full confirmation from the club oh and Randy "was" away in Italy (read in that what you will)
Well Jimmy has gone now...........

Shay Given has been told he can go, buy him and make Brad senior number 2.

i think we may have a merry go round of keepers. Schwarzer to Arsenal, Big Brad to Fulham and Given to us.

Top class keeper with a few years in him.

I'd be very happy if he signed.

However, with a tightening budget and no manager it is deeply unlikely that we'll sign a player in a non-essential position. It is incredibly unlikely to happen. I'd prefer we'd save the money we have and invest it in a striker or midfielder.

That would be fantastic.

As much as I rate Friedel, surely he is near retirement.

Plus Given is a better keeper with a good few years at the top left in him.

Mancini may rue going for Hart I think. As impressive as he has been, I think with young keepers you have to wait and see how they respond to making mistakes, especially high profile ones. I dont Hart has had to go through that yet and we all saw what happened to Carson after his howler v Croatia.
