Odd to see coppell has quit after 1 game- didn't he do same at man city once -very strange !

Hopefully we can tie the milner deal up today , apparently Sven is odds on and odds still falling on him , so maybe he will want to hold back and take a couple of his ex city players in part ex?

Sunderland fans seem to think Bruce is gonna go 4-3-2-1 with Wellbeck and Campbell either side of Bent.

Maybe they'll still want Ivanhoe as cover?

We should look at loaning a striker with a view to buy I think. (Once Heskey has gone).

I'm sure Bellamy would come. Keane maybe. I reckon most clubs just want players off their wage bills now so loans with 100% wage payments are going to be popular.
We could even look at getting a fancy foreign one now. Huntelaar maybe?

I think the closer we get to 31/8 with players still at clubs that want rid of them, the more likely these sort of deals are. I'd take Huntelaar on loan for a year like a shot!

We'd therefore have to structure it to be a 'with a view to a permanent deal' sort of deal, but I'd trust board to negotiate it right.

Paddy power has suspended bets on the "next Villa manager" on Sven. He has also been reported as saying he would take a pay cut as he is aware of the "wage bill" issue with lerner. On a positive he has great "world" contacts and has massive pulling power. Also knows all the Man city players and could possible attract Bellamy and Ireland as part of the Milner fiasco .............
