I see Petrov as Hodgson kind of player, good on the ball, experiecned, solid pro, it seems like Liverpool are in a brick by brick mold right now.  

No at the moment we can't afford to let him go, but it does seem we're chasing a couple of midfelders, so maybe if we get them.  Can't see us losing as many as seven, I think three or four on decent money, bearing in mind our main targets don't seem that pricey.  Stop panicing people you should be use to this by now!

ive been waiting and watching and always rumours and recommendations but never anything concrete..

o'neill needs to sort it out frankly cos we cant keep having players coming in at the last minute and expect them to gel instantly. they need to play some pre-season as a team.. this is ridiculous.

Absolutely but I'd still like us to have new players in by the start of the season as they are games to be won. As long as we have most of them in by then and most of what we need by the end of the window I'll be happy.

Also, there are plenty of cases where new players have come in and failed to gel and even then sometimes after a full pre-season.

I must admit, August arrives on Sunday and no players in. Starting to get a bit twitchy. The sight of Salifou in the squad for the Walsall game this week hasn't helped. Really, what's the point?

He's picking his games and MAY buy a half ST in Dec / Jan if things stsrt to get better.

I know there's still a month to go - unless our season starts in September and with the new kit not available until then I'm wondering - but I'd have hoped we'd have learned some lessons from last summer. When we weren't really quite prepared, lost our opening game and crashed out of Europe straight away.
