I'd let Petrov go for the right money if we had a replacement lined up, as his best years are behind him.

Stan out for £7million and Flamini in for £5million for example would be very good business.

But I think there's nothing in that link anyway.

I think Petrov is underrated personally. He would probably only last 60 - 70 mins of the game in a 4-man midfield, but alongside NRC or Delph, he would still be extremely effective in a 5-man midfield.

I wish Citeh would get on and do what they're going to do so the rest of us can do likewise. I still reckon Mascherano leaving will see Barry joining his best mate at Liverpool and could actually see Petrov joining him for some of the money left over.

If Woy was to renew his interest in Shorey too, Villapool would be the new Villaboro.

If Liverpool really want to pay £7m* for Stan then Villa should sell.

That's good money to get for a 30 year old holding midfielder.

If the scouting dept can't find a similar player for less than that, then there's something wrong.

(*NB - I don't really think that Liverpool would pay anywhere near that)

Sell him I have never rated him, he slows the play down and never makes a forward or telling pass

Petrov was only behind Mascherano and Cuellar in most tackles won last season, which is great but I just wish he didn't slow play down so much and created more. For £7m though I'd sell.
