From the (little) German football I saw on ESPN and the World Cup, Boateng hasn't had a bad game, maybe I was just lucky?

Kompany has always impressed me. More than Toure ever has.

Yes, I just wasted five minutes trying to verify it on Algemeen Dagblad. A week ago, the same website had him at Sevilla.

I've been think about the out going players expected to leave and where that leaves us numbers wise.  We've got Milner to Man City, Luke Young to Liverpool, Heskey to Sunderland and Sidwell to Fulham, plus possibly Davies to Spurs, Shorey to Forest and Beye to somewhere, maybe back to Newcastle.  As there's not been anything really meaningful in relation to NRC, do we think he's going to stay and see out his remaning year?  I wouldn't say no to that given Delph's injury!!

I make our remaining squad to be:-
Keepers - the 2 Brads and Parish
Left back - Warnock
Centre back - Dunne, Collins, Cuellar and Clark
Right back - no fooker
Left wing - Ash and Downing
Centre mid - Petrov, NRC and Delph
Right wing - Albrighton
Strikers - Gabby, Carew & Delfouneso

17 in total.  

So, presuming Lichaj and Lowry step up to take the reserve full back places, that leaves us a 1st choice right back, a right winger, 2 midfielders and a striker short of a well balanced squad.  Step forward Micah Richards, David Bentley, Scott Parker, Stephen Ireland and Robbie Keane.
