Didn't you hear he changed his name by deed poll to 'Maybe Another?'

Whilst I wouldn't trust the date on the cover of the Mirror I'm ever so slightly happy about this. If a more solid source arrives I'll crack open the bubbly.

If we did sign him I had a Bridge sorted out.

Same. I'd advise the Forth. Beautiful view, good long think on the way down - all you could ask for really.

In all seriousness, whatever it is that some people see in McGeady, I'm afraid it's passed me by completely. If we signed him I really would wonder when the last time MON renewed his passport was.

My joke a while back was that I'd live under a bridge and become an alcoholic if we signed him. John M threatened to hold me to it!

Agree with your second paragraph. Hence why i went off on one earlier.

I'd forgotten about that - thanks for reminding me!!

Five years ago today Darius Vassell left us to sign for Man City. How times have changed.

According to the Mirror SWP is being offered as a make weight in the Milner deal

Fuck that off, I don't rate him and not only that I think were ok for wingers. A really class Midfielder is what we need

Oh no!  If that happens I really will give up. Overrated, Overhyped (mainly by his father) Undersized and Undertalented.

Agreed, Typical old fashioned inconsistent winger who can't cross a ball

If we are going to take any players from Man City in part exchange for Milner, I'd like to think it would be us picking who and not them.

In some respects I wouldn't be totally against SWP, but there's lots better we can get, both from Man City and elsewhere, than him.

Players are going to be traded in much the same way as cash. Man City aren't going to make the best cash offer up front just as they won't make the best player offer up front.

Hopefully MoN will bat this away until Man City come up with the equation Milner=20 mill + Ireland.

But only for Citeh.

We are back in the league of fireselling journeymen for a couple of million here and there to fund new signings.

20m + Ireland would be perfect for me. We could then bring in Keane on a part exchange with Davies. Cause no way can arry name King and woodgate in there 25. And that would leave us with 15m + whatever funds Randy has for club to bring in more quality ..........

That's not really the case at all.

The reason we're selling them is because they don't play and they have such huge wages because we now spend a lot more on wages.

And because we can only have 25 players. Once we include a portion of the best kids, and we should, somebody has to make room.
May as well be the ones who arent good enough that are on big money.

That way, they clear their bunks for the new arrivals/youngblood. Simple.

O neill does like swp though and he tried to take him on loan when he was at Chelsea remember.

I think city would be more likely to offer players in part ex rather than a total cash deal.

Richards, onuaha, Santa cruz, bellamy, Ireland and Barry could all be available to leave there , and the fact he's tried for Santa cruz and swp in tbe past could be interesting.

SWP relies heavily on pace and it was 2-3 years ago he tried for him from Chelsea.  I think he's had his best days.  Also not keen on RSC as I see him as a one season wonder.

Ireland and Richards would be my choices.

I think Ireland will end up at Man U or Liverpool.

But Man City will eventually get desperate to shift some of their deadwood and I think there will be bargains to be had. I say let it go right to the wire.
