I would love Ireland and Parker and petrov. Downing is lacking in confidence but we need the fonz and other youngsters like bannan to get that push like agbonlahor did. We desperately need them to get experience and have a chance at first team football. Some of them have promising futures but need a head start!

Petrov on a free is a no brainer.  Can't see how we can lose having someone like him in the squad. On his day a quality option. And its a FREE transfer

Not fussed about Keane, can take it or leave it

YOUNGER PLAYERS PLEASE (unless they're top drawer like Forlan)

So, let me get this right, you only want us to sign "older" players if they are top drawer. Yet you also think we should sign Martin Petrov?

It does sound like Keane is going to happen.
Somehwere, there is a faceplam happening.

Really though, he'd be a decent if predictable signing for us. He can link play up as well as chip in with goals and he wont be around long enough to hold up Delfouneso's progress.

If we get Ireland as well, we'd have a fair more amount of guile up front without compromising too much grit.
Buying Micks might be about as exotic as we go this summer. :)

I wish it was Forlan, but that aint gonna happen. Keane offers similar traits, just without that dash of South American class.

I do think Keane could do well here though. Keep his ego in check, and he'll get plenty of goals.

If people are arguing against Keane due to his age/price, then imagine what the 2 year old Forlan would cost after this World Cup?  And that is without taking into account the big question mark over whether he is unsuited to PL football following his time with Man U.

I know he has baby smooth latino skin but he's a bit older than that I think.

Must be if he played base in Kajagoogoo in the 80's.

Age and being past it are two different thngs. Forlan's peaking now, Keane: not too sure. Forlan looks fitter too. I think Robie likes going out for a few guinessess too much. He and Dunney togethr would get up to all sorts too! :)

Keane still improves us thoug, so bring it on.
