Wheres the link to the Arteta story? And come off it, he's hardly out of our reach is he? He plays for Everton, not Man Utd.

Personally I think we'd be a sideways step for Arteta.

IF he was available I'm sure there would be 'bigger' clubs interested.

If you think that Arteta is too big a traget for us what level of player do you think we are able to attract?

Everton would want silly money for Arteta. Probably similar to what we want for Milner. So unless we sell Milner then I can't even see us having that sort of money available.

We'll attract players more players like Heskey, Downing, Warnock & Collins.

Players that were doing OK at a club at a lower level than we are. Mid table/Bottom half.

So we can't sign anyone from Spurs then?

Possibly, players that they're looking to fuck off and upgrade on.

Jermaine Jenas anyone?

International Football is different to Club Football.

Gerrard in his best form for Liverpool was shite for England.
Heskey in his best form for England is shite for Us.

Bla bla bla.

You have just demonstrated just how poor your judgement of a player is.

In that case I trust you will not be winging about any of our summer signings as they'll be the best we can hope to attract.

Why are we even talking about signing anyone?

Haven't we gotta sell before we buy anyway?

Would Gerrard get into Spain's midfield? yes. Would Arteta? Not even in the squad. Says it all.

It's not hype, Gerrard didn't have a great season but he's still twice the player Arteta is.

Come off it Greg. Gerrard is massively superior to Arteta. He's not had the best season by his own high standards but he's one of the top midfielders in the world and Arteta... isn't.

Yes, I'd say he's twice the player Arteta is and that's not being unkind to Arteta at all.
