Wellhes got more grey hairs than i have, and i'm a lot older.

If hes 25/6 , and MON thinks we need that kind of player, then fine. Not sure we need that kind of player with us having Delph tbh.Gourcuff/Boussafa/Hleb, would be the kind of player i think we need.

Much as i like the look of Gourcuff, i've never seen him have a good game, much like last night, he seems to be trying too hard.

If you've never seen him have a good game why do you 'like the look' of him?

Players I've never seen play well I tend not to like to look of.

A disturbing rumour that I keep hearing is that Blues are in for Fabrizio Miccoli of Palermo. This is a bad thing because he is ace, much like an Italian Tevez. I'm not saying that we should sign him but I hope he has more sense than to get suckered in signing for those bowlheads down the road.

If he's that good, why would you think we shouldn't sign him?

I believe he is 30 now, if he is that good, dont you think he would be at a better team then Palermo, and also, wouldnt a bigger and better club then small heath be in for him?

Can't we have Messi. Like a string on his boot when he gets hold of it.

Yeah, bit of double dutch there Dave.

What i meant was i like that kind of player, i have seen him play for Bordeaux on highlights, and he looks a class act, but whenever i have seen him play for France, he never has.Tbh i think this ridiculous label of the "next Zidane" does'nt help him at international level.

He was at Juventus but fell out of favour due to some agent dodginess. I think the story was that the Juventus hierarchy insisted that he sack his agent and employ their man instead, he refused and got forced out on loan to Benfica until Juve sold him. As Lippi is in charge of the national team he therefore won't get a call up due to the Juve connection. The blues talk could all be guff anyway, but I'd much rather we were at least linked with decent strikers like him rather than someone like Carlton Cole.

I think Miccolli would do well in the Prem, he's built like a brick shithouse but is skillful with it. Palermo are pretty good as well, they only just missed out on a Champions League spot this season.

Everytime ive saw Landon Donovan he's impressed in the second striker role, looks like a younger better version of Robbie Keane, no doubt cheaper too

I still don't understand though, if you rate him so much and if he is that good, why would you not want us to sign him?

He's 28 so not that much longer and I don't think he's the same type of player at all. He's more like an older, worse version of James Milner.

Bit of comedy from the NOTW

Quote

NEGOTIATIONS between Aston Villa and Spurs are about to start over Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Villa boss Martin O’Neill wants to sign Robbie Keane from Tottenham and Harry Redknapp wants Agbonlahor in exchange.

Agbonlahor’s raw pace is seen as an asset as Spurs prepare for their debut season in the Champions League, while Keane’s White Hart Lane career is over after a loan spell with Celtic and he has always been admired by O’Neill.

Spurs value Keane at £12m and Agbonlahor will command a similar fee when the two clubs begin talks.

Dear lord, that's got to be the worst piece of speculation I've ever seen.  Yes, we're about to swap our best young striker for someone with more clubs than a deck of cards.

There seemed to be rumours of a problem with gabby and mon late in the season , I think dave Clark posted a story at the time, I wouldn't totally discount this deal but would value gabby at much higher than the price quoted.

Massive problem clearly between MON and Gabby, that's why he never picks him.

As Risso says it is pure bollocks and I'm amazed that anyone over the age of 12 gives it any credence.
