I want any new striker to have an influence on the way we play, and by that I mean change it and give us options.  To me Carroll, and I'll admit I haven't seen too much of him, wouldn't do that as he's too similar to Carew and Heskey.

If they both left and he came in alongside another striker, then fine.

A new manager and coaches would be a better way of changing how we play.

Yeah, brilliant idea again.

You should twitter it.

Fuck that.

I'll just mention it directly to the General.

I would still want robbie keane , but keane Carroll gabby and fonz would give us several options- I'd let Carew and heskey both go if we could get 2 strikers in.

Looks as if city are closing in on milner but I'd much prefer Ireland included in the deal rather than straight cash.

I get this strange feeling that you do not rate the manager.  When did the record get stuck or have you always been against him since day one.

I was happy with the appointment.

He's done Ok, but the football is getting worse, there's been quite a bit of dosh spent and I can't see him taking us any further.

Fine, but could you just have a day off from telling us all as we've got the message by now.

Exactly, getting rid of Heskey would force the change that has seen us go from a fast flowing team to a team that is very pedestrian at times in the last 18 months.

Coincidence or not, Heskey in the team has changed our shape and does not suit the rest of the players.

Do you value the timing of the transfers or the players that have moved?  Would you rather have bought what other clubs have so far or waited for better targets?

its just comedy relief john. i think we all know that MON won't even look at transfers till july and then it will be incredibly underwhelming targets

My God John, do not fall into this black hole of discussion.

It's the football equivelent of having a 9 year old in the back of your car going "Are we nearly there yet?" over and over again.

True, but I was just looking for an excuse to remind him of this:-

i'd rather he put the 9m in a high interest account and spend it next summer on someone good rather than piss it up the wall on Keane

yeah. we all know the script

"i'd rather wait till MON's targets are available than buy early"

Crippled relegated winger arrives

"Look he's dead good, honest"

Just substitute Keane for Downing

Can't we just substitute you for Paulthevillain?  At least he's mildly entertaining in his MON rants!
