If Keane for 8-10m or Rodallega for 10m came in I would be very happy.

Let's have them both, that would give us a few new options.

well he's nearer two years than three, he'll be 30 before he'd kick a ball for us. and this fell out with redknapp stuff...

It was in all the papers Greg, didn't you make a note in your scrapbook?

Organised a Christmas party after being told he couldn't, was sent out on loan to Celtic a couple of weeks later...

oh right. you now take paper rumours seriously? or just the ones that suit you. redknapp and Keane or the club haven't said owt like that. he was shipped out because he wasn't expected to get in the side. simple.

I assume that next time you say how it's obvious that O'Neill and player x, y or z have fallen out then we can discount it because neither party have made a statement about it?

well lets face it, from actual quotes from young and MON, there's a lot more evidence than Chris' xmas party gone wrong story which is all about chris making out Keane was thrown out while playing well, when the reality is he was crap for them. a look on spurs message boards shows they're hardly heartbroken by the idea of him leaving unless i've misunderstood them offering to drive him to his new home. :0)[/quote]

You mean, Keane to come on for Carew after 70 minutes instead of Hesey? That would be an improvement!! *wink*

Keane is the man! No resale value, I admit, but if he scores 15 goals a season for the next four years, itill be worth it and there is nothing to suggest he won't.

He's a natural goalscorer, just like Kevin Phillips but better. How old is Kevin Phillips, how many did he score last season? Certainly more than Heskey and he hardly played!!

Keane will be our first natural goalscorer since Dwight Yorke. Sign for anything under 10 million.

Except the fact that he hasn't done so in the Premier League since 2007/8.  I wouldn't say he is past it totally, but I think he has passed his peak.

He could still do a job for us but the crucial factor is the size of the transfer fee.  Anything more than £7M / £8M would be too much, in my opinion.

I think Keane only has two good seasons left in him which is why i think anything over £7.5m would be a bit much. I like him as a player and he will score goals but if we could get a younger version, even if more expensive, it would be the better option.

Yeah, you guys are right. Fuck Keane, let's sign Doyle and Cole instead. Younger, resale value.

Or, we could sign a genuine quality player like Keane who can score and create, who can lead the line or drop deep. Sure, he's not 24 - and sorry he's not foreign. But he's got skill, proven in the division, and can score goals. Mourinho has come out and said he loves to buy older players, as opposed to young players. Would you guys really say that Mourinho has the complete wrong idea when it comes to transfers?

Or why not sign none of those three and sign somebody better?

You know the answer to that question I think Dave.

We all know too well the market we're shopping in. Keanes one of the tastier options on the shelf.
