That means Ireland, Bellamy and Adebayor available then.

The latter will want too much in wages, but the first two could be a possibility. Although I'm not sure on Bellamy due to age and injuries.

Maybe they'll keep Adebayor and move Santa Cruz on? I'd take him...

Quote from: "The Man With A Stick"
I'm not a fan of Robbie Keane, the little invisible-bow-and-arrow club-hopping pixie, but if we could get him fairly cheap then fair enough.  Would be a decent option to have in the squad and the likes of Delfouneso would learn from him.

Cash plus Davies though, no chance.

No chance because you rate Davies that highly, or no chance because you don't think Tottingham will go for it?

The way we've treated since he came back from injury means we'd do well to get £5 million for him now. £ 5 mill + Davies for Keane I could live with. £3 million + Davies (valuing Curtis at £7 mill) and I'd snap their hand off.

Citeh's links with Dzeko, Higuain and Gago are rather worrying, but expected.

Mourinho's not a mug.  Higuain has been Real Madrid's best player this season, scoring for fun.  Can't see him letting him go. Gago? don't really rate him.  And i haven't seen any quotes on it, so nothing to get worried about IMO

Gago is shit and will get murdered in the Premier League. Higain and Dzeko are good though :/

City will do alright, especially if they sort out their backline and show a bit more bottle with their attacking play. I don’t see them coming anywhere near Chelsea or United though.

They’ve got to bridge that gap between them and Spurs first and it looked massive on both occasion I saw them meet. That there league don't lie either

Yeah think we should just forget about City and target Arsenal and hope they have a Liverpool style collapse post Fabregas.

Mind you, we’d be more than alright if we could score an extra 10 or 15 goals over the season.

Gabby realizing the season goes on post January, the Fonz coming of age and Ireland and Rodallega incoming would be steps to help that.

I think Keane would bag us 10-15, more so than Rodellaga- either way, we need a goal scorer whose got something different to the pace and power Gabby and BJC offer.

I certainly think Ireland would offer the sort of tempo we’d need in the middle of the park that we’ve got out wide.  He’s the closest thing to Scholes we could afford.

Ireland scores more from open play than Milner, scored 9 goals in 08/09 and he dosen't take penalties.

Infact central midfield is our weakest area for goals...Petrov has scored the grand total of one league goal in two seasons, NRC had the same stats when he actually played aswell and Sidwell....

So we need more goals coming from midfield. Of course the idea situation would be to keep Milner and sign someone like Ireland but I fear that may be beyond us.

Ireland could be a top signing, but I think he can only really play in a 4-5-1.

I can see Mourinho letting Higuain go and taking Milito with him. Both are left-footed goal machines aren't they?

Let's all hope that Man City are using Milner as a smoke screen to get their real targets a little cheaper. I'll be very pleased when their squad is packed with mercenary midfielders with zero premiership experience while Jimmy is tearing up the World Cup.

Both Milito and Higuain are quality, but IIRC higuain is a fair bit younger than Milito.  Doesn't make much sense to get rid of the younger model and bring in an older
