I see we can cross Vigic off.  Can't bring myself to say where he is going

He's the new Kevin Francis.

He only scored 5 at valencia but his record before that was ok, I think Small heath have made a statement about the type of football they want to play next year

Thank God for that, Valencia have been trying to offload him and Miguel for the last two years.....

I can live with Parker as long as someone like Ireland also comes in.

Ireland, Parker, Petrov, Milner/NRC and Delph back for the second half of the season would be fine.

Tart once of shit hole in Brum, now tart of shit hole in east end, has told Villa to reconsider making an offer. Hopefully we will. Too old for the price, and you know she will squeeze every drop out the fee.

Well looks like we've lost a couple of pages informed and intelligent transfer debate!

Going back to the Keane thing with gregnash:-

Since arriving back at Spurs in Jan 2009 until going to Celtic on loan in Jan 2010, he played 29 games (5 as sub) and scored 11 goals.  Give that's more or less a full season, hardly a case of Redknapp not using him and him being 5th choice.

Interesting quotes from Dunne yesterday.

Aside from the usual face like a smacked arse impression when asked by a gang of kids why he'd left Citeh, he was pretty specific about Keane.

Normal etiquette in those situations is to say something along the lines of "Any club would be interested in a player of that ability," and other such non-committal responses.

But he talked specifically about the side needing a player to play in the hole, a link-man between the midfield and forwards. And Keane being ideal for the role.

If the players can see the type of signing we need (though I'm still not 100% convinced that should automatically be Keane) hopefully the manager can see it too.

Dunne has said this week he'd like to see Ireland and Keane at Villa.

I think either of these players, and striker that likes to drop off or a genuine attacking central player, would offer an extra dimension to our play and allow us to be more effective through the centre aswell as the wings.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see both at Villa Park before the window closes!

At least SHA have made some signings, they have seen that they needed a goalie, striker and have acted positively and have strengthened on last season...what have we done ??? zero this Zigic is no donkey and if he gets 5/6 goals in the WC they may have a bargain. I hope it wont be all done at the last minute again when any signings will have missed pre-season

You know you've hit rock bottom when you start looking enviously towards Small heath. Get some help before it is too late.

It's fecking May. They are the only club to have signed anyone!

Now fast forward three months to August the 26th. Then we panic.

Bearing in mind all the WC players cannot discuss moves between now and approx 11/07/10 and pre-season starts about then the window will not be as long as normal

Have Man City not signed J Boateng frm Hamburg, Arsenal signed Chamakh from Bordeaux ???

I believe the Boateng deal isn't completed yet and technically guys like Chamakh and Jovanivich are signing under pre-contract agreements which means they won't actually be signed until the 1st of June.

I think it's a bit premature to be worrying but I'll be very worried if we haven't made signings by this time in July or the start of August.
