Summer 2010 Transfer Thread: B*llsh*t, Rumours & Wishes

I fucking hate the Summer Transfer Window.

Every year I say I'm going to just ignore whatever speculation is around, but it's just impossible not to.

Someone should give Supertom same advice. Where is he? He's probably exploding somewhere right now :)

Ok, here is the "friday poser"  Would you a) have a "closed transfer season" rather just keep the players we have for next season, no one in or out or b)  open shop, if Young and Milner go, they go, and we buy new while sorting some of our squad issues out.  Chris, great post by the way

The quick and obvious answer is of course B, but having said that:-
1.  A full season on Milner in the middle
2.  Delph, Delfouneso and the other young 'uns a year older and better.
3.  Downing with a full pre-season and injury free.
4.  Our late summer 09 signings there for longer, so turn Wigan at home into at least a draw

We might actually be better off and closing in on that 6 point gap!

Valid points, but think we would still be (a) left with using the same 11 players each game and (b) unable to break teams down at VP.

2, 3 and 4 still apply whether we go for A and B

True, but the way I see it is you accept the points I raised then we WOULD be better next season.  But if we had an open market, where our best player is likely to go, then who knows?

And it's been confirmed Florentino Perez the Madrid President is after him. It has an inevitability about it with Rooney not signing his new contract before the world cup.

A source said "Nando likes Birmingham and its a Wankers paradise, especially Small Heath. He's been to One stop already today on his way to have a secret meeting with Paul Faulkner....ooops!".

It is thought a fee of £80m should swing the deal with Luc Nillis moving in the opposite direction.
