Bullard is not good enough for us. I cant believe the amount of suggestions he appears in.
Even if he could avoid serious injury for a month, he wouldn't even get on the bench of one of our rivals. Nor should he get on ours.

No thank you.

Totally agree. We need to sign better than what we have. If money isn't as freely available as it has been we're going to have to look on the continent, although I appreciate with MON this is highly unlikely.

Les, I agree with you on the type of player we need. I disagree that he is that player and there's no way he would be a bums on seats situation.
On the contrary, he'd probably convince fans not to buy tickets as he's not really good enough for where we are, never mind where we want to be.

I think he's injury prone, massively overrated and also too old now. Somebody like Newcastle or Bolton will buy him and he'll do a reasonable job for them when fit. Meanwhile we'll be looking at players in the class or two above him at least.

Kallstom for instance, is a far superior player and is free this summer.

I would rather have Bullard in our squad than Kallstom. If Hull are looking to get him off their wage bill and he wants a last shot with a big club and he accepts very reasonable terms in a way that Micheal Owen did last summer, tthen I think we should bring him in. He will put bums on seats. People will not be their to watch Bullard but as the ball spends more time on the deck and Villa have a larger slice of possesion, more people will gradually come along.

I didn't realise he was on a free?? Ideal signing, don't think he'd come to us though.

Bullard - very questionable temperament, fallen out with Hodgson and Brown, clearly screwed knees and the worst display of an opposition player against us at their place where he was jeered by his own fans.

Great lets get him.... where is that little yellow man smacking his head on a brick wall.

Robbie Keane and Beckfod would give us a poacher and a creator to go with Carew and Gabby, with Fonz in the mix too, while letting Heskey and Harewood go. Not ideal by any means and I hoped for better, but there could be worse, and Beckford has scored against premiership sides.

Then if Benayoun has no future at Anfield get him in. At least with him and Keane you would have more options straight away, and lets face it, we are not going to side decent players outside of the UK.

Then need 2 central midfielders and a right back. Clyne as backup to Cuellar might be worth bringing in. Cheap and young and has been good all season for Palace.

Finally the midfield. I think we need a top, top defensive midfield player to let Milner go and do the attacking, but they are rare now. The opta stats on Diame at Wigan were fairly impressive and he might be worth a look. Then get Stephen Ireland.

Sell Davies, Sidwell, NRC, Luke Young, Salifou, Shorey, Harewood etc.

More chance of Carew going rather than Heskey.

Unless Heskey asks for a move.

I think Beckford would be a good acquisition - dodgy attitude but decent striking option.

Either Benayoun or Ireland would do nicely. Or ideally both. Benayoun is the sort of drifting player who picks up good areas and makes things happen that we could do with. It'd be more beneficial in home games to have him and Ash as opposed to playing two wingers and being so one dimensional. Yossi on the right to play almost like Nobby Solano did for us, with a bit of freedom on that side to drift and instigate play.

Ireland could also do that. I worry about his attitude, and also whether he was a one season wonder. Man City don't need cash, so will probably hold out for a ludicrous fee. He'd undoubtedly want to be earning more than the rest of our team currently are.
