From Greg's list, Bent stands out, shame we could have got him last summer...

I wonder how much Bent would cost now? £20M?

I would of thought about 16-18 Mil and he would be worth every penny.

doubt it. sunderland don't need the cash, he's on a long contract. torres is going for 40m. not saying bent is in torres class but still

If we are going for 3rd division strikers I would prefer Morrison from Millwall

Beckford linked with us

Not sure about buying strikers from 2 divisions lower, even if they have a good scoring record.

Onouha linked with £3m move to Sunderland

Always looks Ok whenever I've seen him play, can play right back too. That would rule us out of a move then.

If we sign him I bet he'll re-register here as a user called 'IToldYouSo'.

Realistic players to come in that would improve us:

Onouha, O'Hara, Llorente, Bullard, Owen

Players to leave:
Davies, Harewood, Reo-Coker, Sidwell, Heskey and Beye.

Youngsters to be upgraded of a season getting splinters in their arses:

Albrighton & Clark

Delfonz - out on loan for a half season to a club like Forest or Leicester

No. No

How will we ever improve if we sell one great player at a time ?

We dont want to be selling ANY of our better players full stop

Sometimes to move foward you have to consider taking a step back. When we sold Yorkie we bought Dublin and Merse for the money.

Them 3 additions, imho would improve the team, and being realistic Milner will probably be off in either this summer, or next summer....so.

If we could get Bullard on some kind of 'pay as you play deal' strutured in a similiar way to Saha at Everton I would take him in a heartbeat. He is the kind of player the crowd love, he can really boss a game and when he is ready to retire Delph will be fit and ready to go.

Bullard is not good enough for us. I cant believe the amount of suggestions he appears in.
Even if he could avoid serious injury for a month, he wouldn't even get on the bench of one of our rivals. Nor should he get on ours.

No thank you.

IMO our main problem under MON is our ability to keep possesion. This would change instantly if we had a fit Bullard in our side. I rate him as a football player and think he would also have a 'bums on seats' effect. Not in a direct way that signing a foreign superstar would but with him in our side we could play a more attractive brand of football

A year ago I would have said yes to Bullard. Not any more. Has gone into a steep decline in my opinion and I have been shocked at how bad he has looked in recent games for Hull....for reasons debated elsewhere on H and V perhaps ;-)
