Forlan looks in great nick. Plus he's got a brain on him. He could be of use even when his legs go. He's not totally reliant on pace, or strength. His engine is still in good order too, he lasted the distance better than anyone.

You could easily get a decent 2 years from him, and even more beyond that as a bench player, maybe akin to Bergkamps last couple of years when he became a cameo artist.

Is that Dennis with the mullet and guitar?

Yeah, I pretty much said as much.

But some folks are saying they wouldn't want him when he's about as good as we could hope for.

I think he's overrated, but at the same time, he's better than what we have when he's on it. WHEN, is the biggest problem with him though.

I said Forlan 12 mths ago......an instinctive finisher , with great movement off the ball. Will be good for another 2/3 yrs imho.

Adebayor has all the attributes to be the best CF in the world, apart from the motivation......some player in there somewhere.

Fulham eye Curtis Davies as Martin O'Neill looks to offload six Aston Villa players
By Sportsmail Reporter
On the way out: Davies
Fulham are interested in Aston Villa central defender Curtis Davies who is one of six players earmarked to leave the club this summer. Davies, 25, joined Villa from West Bromwich Albion in 2008 for £8m.

But he has suffered with injuries and Villa will take around £5m to get him off the pay roll.

Fulham are also keen on Nicky Shorey and Steve Sidwell while Villa's Luke Young, Habib Beye and Nigel Reo-Coker are also likely to be sold.

WOOT WOOT!

Stll 5m is a bit steep. Hopefully we can knock them down and get them to accept 3m for taking him

Reo-Coker warns he will only quit Villa on his terms - Exclusive
Published 23:00 13/05/10 By James Nursey

Nigel Reo-Coker has warned Aston Villa he will choose his next club - not Martin O'Neill.

Villa are looking to sell several fringe stars like Reo-Coker, who will be 26 today, to raise funds for new signings.

Blackburn and Stoke have already expressed an interest in the former West Ham dynamo, who had a huge bust-up with Villa boss O'Neill last September.

But Londoner Reo-Coker would prefer a move to a more ambitious club based down south.

He has only 12 months left on his Villa contract after a £7.5million switch from West Ham in July 2007. And he is willing to sit out the rest of his contract and leave on a Bosman rather than just moving to earn Villa cash.

Fellow outcasts Steve Sidwell and Nicky Shorey also both have only a year left on their contracts and that is sure to affect their price tags.

Shorey can join Fulham for a pre-agreed fee of around £2m after he went there on loan.

Fulham have also enquired about Sidwell, while defender Curtis Davie is wanted by promoted Newcastle.

West Ham are interested in Luke Young, who is also set to leave Villa Park.

NRC comes across as one of those footballers who think they're much, much better than they actually are.

I can see why he can be useful in stiffening up the midfield with his willingness to put a foot in, and make himself awkward, but I think he sees himself as a latter day Bryan Robson, whereas most observers see him as a fundamentally flawed footballer - can't pass to save his life, can run a bit, but not towards any useful end.

Still, he points a lot and does good pre-match huddle.

Oh, and Carlton Cole is another player who comes across like that.

Maybe it is a West Ham thing.

Where does NRC think he's going to go? Ambitious club down south?

Maybe he fancies himself along side Fabregas.

Predictable linkage with Spurs cast-offs.yes its those two MON type players again

ROBBIE Keane and Jermaine Jenas head the list of players who will be dumped by Harry Redknapp as he looks to fund a mega summer spending spree.

Starsport revealed last week that the Spurs boss will be handed a £40m war chest to bolster his side ahead of their first crack at Champions League football.

Michael Carrick, Joe Cole and Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko are all on Tottenham’s wish list.

And Redknapp will look to subsidise his transfer kitty by offloading some of
his surplus stars before the start of next season.

Keane and Jenas are the two biggest names on Redknapp’s hit list, while out-of-favour right-back Alan Hutton will also get the chop.

Jenas hasn’t played since February due to a long-term groin injury.

In his absence, Tom Huddlestone has established himself as the club’s first-choice central midfielder.

And with the pending arrival of Brazil holding midfielder Sandro and with the tenacious Wilson Palacios warming the bench for the latter part of the season, Jenas has moved further down the pecking order.

Inter Milan have been linked with a move for Jenas, but a switch to Italy would depend on whether Jose Mourinho remains at the San Siro.

Meanwhile, Keane’s exit is inevitable after the hitman was loaned out to Celtic in January.

Everton, Wolves, Sunderland and Aston Villa have all been linked with Keane, but Spurs know they are likely to make a loss on the £12m they paid Liverpool last year.

Now paper quoted but I'm guessing the Mirror. But that last line. They didn't pay £12mill for him from Liverpool. They accepted him back for what Liverpool still owed for buying him 6 months earlier.

Also the Mirror does say that they are trying to screw Sunderland for £7mil for  Hutton who they bought for £5m. So barely playing and then going on loan adds £2mil to the price.
