Spurs have been linked with Fabiano recently.

Spurs will be linked with 1000 players in the next few weeks.

Put a genuinely top class forward in that Spurs team and you're not far off a side that could challenge for the title imho. Bit shit away from home though.

We have been lucky with injuries and suspensions this year and so have not had to rely on the squad for this.

When you look at the amount of bookings given out, there are not many players that get suspended these days.  Suspensions seem only to occur from red cards.

If we sign Bothroyd then I'm never stepping inside VP again whilst MON is in charge

Isn't Kevin Doyle the striker mentioned as the shittest signing we could make.

Quote

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly eager to have a closer look at Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Kevin Doyle, however the Republic of Ireland international is also interesting Aston Villa, Everton, and Fulham after an impressive season for the Midland’s club.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was informed by former Reading coach Steve Coppell of the striker’s qualities when he first arrived in the Premier League with the Royals and has contacted his former coaches at the club to discuss the striker in detail. Meanwhile Doyle’s international boss Giovanni Trapattoni has also backed the striker to move to a top European club this summer. Everton manager David Moyes has shown his interest in the forward as has Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neill, while Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is also looking to strengthen his forward options.

A source close to Doyle revealed to the News of the World that Arsene Wenger has been tracking the Republic of Ireland forward for the last six months with the Frenchman reportedly sounding out former coaches about the forward’s character and training ethic. Everton, Villa, and Fulham are all looking to add to their forward options, however the £10 million asking price could be seen as a stumbling for a number of clubs.

His international boss has also recommended the former Cork City striker to Juventus and a number of Italian clubs; with Doyle keeping the option of Italy open as he spent two years at Torino’s academy when he was 16.

Doyle, 26, spoke of his situation this summer in the News of the World on Sunday:

"In an ideal world, I would love to be challenging for titles every year and playing in Europe.

"Now I hope Wolves can help satisfy my ambitions. One of the reasons I came here is because they have done it in years gone by."

He added: "I don't have an agent. I have people I'm very close to. They advise me what I should look to but, no, there is no agent as such."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted recently that he was a fan of the Wolves forward:

"I like him personally.

"He is an intelligent striker.

"He's good everywhere. I followed him since he was at Reading."

I'd rather see us sign nobody than waste money on players like Doyle and Bothroyd..

We could do with a couple of marquee signings this summer not another load of average Joes.

Love Doyler's quote about joining Wolves cos they've been successful in the past. Keep drinking the Guinness, Kevo.

Did I hear R5 saying last night that Foster might be on his way from Man U to our neighbours for £4m?

Yes. He's a good keeper but he drops too many clangers to be a top keeper. He doesnt hold on to the ball enough either. Always pushing it or punching it away when its easier to just grab it.

Still, he's too good for them.

Foster is more like a Scott Carson rather than a Joe Hart.
