Spurs will definitely be in the market for a forward now. Hopefully it makes Crouch surplus to requirements. I'd lvoe him back.

As much as he's a horrible ball handler (painful to watch really), I'd love to have him just for headers on corners. Worth his price!

Falcao is one of those players where I'm immediately think "YES - get him in, Martin" without ever having seen him play.

He's 56 and retired.  But that's not the point, he's Brazilian.  MON will not sign a Brazilian.

Just aswell he's actually Columbian then!

Actually, he's Austrian.

And dead.

But would he score more than Heskey?

He'd probably appear more lively than Heskey!

The types of players Spurs are being linked to are really starting to make me realise what could have been.

The disappointment of being linked with them and then buying Kris Boyd?

Yes -  he'd be able to ghost in on the blind side.

Probably right mate, but put Carrick, Joe Cole and Dzeko in our team ahead of Stan, Downing and John and I reckon we'd have a chance of a little bit more than top 4.

Hopefully that calibre of player is still out of reach for Spurs despite 4th.

Dont worry too much. Spurs will only get £20-25m maximum from the CL so they'll only be able to afford 1 or 2 extra players. If 'Arry takes them on a wild spending spree then theres no guarantee of success...just look at Real Madrid who spent over £200m and got knocked out early.

Can't really see Spurs getting Carrick, and Bellemy seems a strange choice, considering hes such a jounryman striker and is surely past his best despite a good season this year.  Joe Cole might be a different matter.  The test for them will be to follow this season and compete at the same level next.

Fnishing above Liverpool will really influence our profile and make certain players look at a move to Villa more viable ...........

I actually met the keyboard player of his band the other day. Sold him a nice synth..   and had a good chat about Falco, .   not the footballer obviously...  would love to see a signing like that with a Hieb and Kallstom, cant see it...

I have 4 Falco albums.

I was actually at  Dom Rep when Falco died in the car crash there...

And there's nowt as queer as football. It only needs Spurs to have a dodgy start to the season and get knocked out of the CL and things can suddenly take on a very different hue. That is one of the beauties and frustrations of football and what can make it (still, though not as much as it used to) compelling. There is no doubt in my mind they deserved 4th but I think their hitting form at just the right time has perhaps exaggerated how good they are in reality...

Except he's pretty awful at heading.
