Falcao is one of those players where I'm immediately think "YES - get him in, Martin" without ever having seen him play.

He's 56 and retired.  But that's not the point, he's Brazilian.  MON will not sign a Brazilian.

Just aswell he's actually Columbian then!

Actually, he's Austrian.

And dead.

Aston Villa want to sign Crystal Palace's 19-year-old defender Nathaniel Clyne to replace Luke Young who is eager to return to London.

Who?

the young lad who had ashley in his pocket at selhurst park in the cup match and turned down a move to wolves in january.

looks like he has the potential to be a very good player.

I'd like to take a punt on a few of the other young lads in the Championship, Wickham at Ipswich looks some player for his age, Hobbs, Westwood.

Can we sign Cristiano Ronaldo?

He's had over 200 shots this season.

Probably more than our whole team.

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is believed to be preparing a £15million move for Porto striker Radamel Falcao.

http://www.eatsleepsport.com/aston-villa/villa-plan-porto-raid-1059539.html

This must be to replace Torres at Liverpool as we all know Martin is only staying untill the season ticket renewal deadline - ssshh don't tell talksport but I saw Sparky Hughes down VP earlier looking to get the family ticket deal for the Blackburn game and arguing with the ticket office about his booking history ;)

last summers story all over again...

Would it be a good idea to just copy and paste last year's summer transfer thread here??

It's all going to go the same....

June, nobody signed...a few mad eggs losing their marbles over why not.

July, maybe 1 signing, but their murmurs of discontent grow.

1st half of August, maybe 1 more and good chunk of people properly freaking out.

September, signings in, not overly excited by any but content and hoping that magic player will come in January.

You could also just copy and paste most of the players names.

Except this summer we get the added 'bonus' of the World Cup.... 'he looks great.. so does he... let's get them...'

Then it'll be 'wait until the WC's over, nothing doing until then'.... 'then, players getting extra holiday, give it a couple more weeks'.... then.. 'how come Spurs/City/Sunderland et al are signing all these World Cup stars'.... and into August... 'why have we signed that Rangers lad?* Is that it?'

* see, I've already forgotten his name. The goal-hanging striker. Boyd, that's it.

Spurs will definitely be in the market for a forward now. Hopefully it makes Crouch surplus to requirements. I'd lvoe him back.
