By others I suppose you mean the other players you listed that I don't particularly want either, for what it's worth.

Another way to look at it is he's 33, past having any relevance at the top level and looking for a nice big payday and a nice way to wind down to retirement, which he can do in New York (and which he probably will do in New York).

Personally I wouldn't want Henry. He's been shite every time I've seen him this year. I would rather go for Klose. We won't though.

he'd cost hardly nothing in fees, the wages would be offset by the shirt sales but i take your point. if there's 15+m to spend on a striker by all means, i just think we'll end up spending 10m on someone no better
