We could get top 4 with that lot.  Ship out the shite we have, bring the kids on and develop them to take over from the seniors eventually.

Throw in a decent right back as well, and we'd be sorted.

No to Owen.

Injured yet again despite not playing too much this season.

.

I'm off to the bookies. That form makes him a must have.

We need someone who has a knack of being in the right place at the right time up front, a central midfielder who can get around the pitch and get forward and score, and a wide player / forward who can offer something different (along the floor) from a creative point of view. From our recent past an Angel (on one of his good seasons), a Taylor (but a bit better) and a Solano / Berger (but younger and with a better attitude).
We can afford to ship out Harewood, Heskey, Osbourne, Salifou, Sidwell and Shorey.

My list for this week consists of:

Full Back: Nedum Onuoha /
Def Mid: Mathieu Flamini / Mohamed Diame / Anthony Annan
Att Mid: Yoann Gourcuff / Eden Hazard / Mauro Zarate / Yossi Benayoun
Foward: Eren Derdiyok / Hugo Rodellega / Lucas Barrios / Gullieme Hoarau

I think Onuoha would be a real assest for us, but only if MON plays 2 of our 5 CB's and plays Nedum at RB.
Then 1 from each of the other catergories should sort the team out a treat. Obviously I'm hoping MON has finished building the British foundations of our team and now, in his 5th year is ready to but some fancy foreign facia to finish off and win the league. Yes it has been a heavy weekend!

It may sound a bit mad, but if we could add Tuncay to our squad for a couple of million i'd take him. He was never going to fit in with Stoke's brand of football, but there's no doubting he has a football brain and eye for the unexpected

Could do a good job linking midfield and attack through the middle if our usual 4-4-2 wasnt working (eg : at home)

There's a very good chance that I'll shoot someone if Tuncay keeps getting suggested. If we ever wanted him, we would have got him last season.

Although the same argument could be made about Luke Young.

I think we actually went for Young first time round though and got put off by the fee being asked at the time. Then a year later we go and pay £6m instead of £4.5m (and they call MON a ditherer). To my knowledge, we've never been in for Tuncay.

Middlesbrough only paid £2.5m for Young.

I can't imagine for a second we would have been put off at that price.

Ireland
Bellamy
Jack Collison
Rodallega

I'd be reasonably happy with that lot or 3 from that lot and we could then play 4-3-3.

I'd be half tempted to get a season out of Jimmy Bullard as a squad option. Rather him on the bench than Sidwell, and might be on the cheap.

I think the problem with the likes of Bullard, is he's probably much happier playing week in week out (when fit) at Hull, than sitting on a bench at a better side. And its to be applauded.

Its not like he's earning peanuts either.
