Someone earlier suggested Piennar.

Wasn't a name that immediately jumped out at me, I'll be honest. Primarily because I thought Everton wouldn't entertain notions of selling him for anything less than crazy money.

But by all accounts he's in dispute with them, and might be available for a realistic fee.

He did himself no favours at VP recently, but most other times I've seen him he looks decent. Him and Arteta give an otherwise pedestrian-looking side some spark. He can also graft and get stuck in too.

Might be an option for right mid. Keep Ashley on the left and Downing on the bench.

Yeah, Cole isn't a bad shout, but wouldn't really change anything in our side.  Keane is a different type of player than we have, so would.

I would hope to get better then either, but Keane over Cole if it was a choice between the two!

Cole would be a very suitable replacement for Heskey, but if the notion is that we need a striker who is either very prolific or a flair/playmaker type, well its probably not him.

I wouldn't be exactly upset if we signed him though. He's really come on in the last year or two.
He's big, quick, strong as an ox, holds it up nicely and his goalscoring record recently is decent.

There are better options maybe but, not bad.

can't see the point of signing someone who scores LESS goals than the present occupants. we need a proper striker and Cole and Keane ain't it. Cole for Heskey would be an improvement mind.
