Failing to get into the Champions League will make it harder every season to fend off suitors for our players, unfortunately.

Correct.

But last season we lost Barry and Laursen and I don't think we're that worse off (if at all).

That may be the case, but we'd struggle to replace Milner and Young.

We said we'd struggle to replace Barry and Laursen, but we have - or at least we're no worse off as a team!

I think Milner is turning into a VERY good player, so we'd struggle there, but the money demanded for Young would allow Martin to go get a replacement, IMO.

We may be tempted to sell Milner OR Young if the right money is offered, but I cannot see us selling both.

Heard somewhere that Bellamy has had another bust up before their last game, he will be offloaded in the summer, and wouldn't be suprised if they get rid of Barry too.

No. Buy Bellamy, possibly.

As competition/replacement for Petrov we could do alot worse than lardarse.

If he were to come back (and I'm not entirely sure he'd be allowed to or it'd be beneficial for us to take him) then I'd only want him here as a holding player.

He could be the perfect partner for Milner..

Barry can fuck off. He's been and gone.

He's missed his chance of being a true legend here.

I dont want him anywhere near this club again. Also, as he's on about £120k p/w over there, there's absolutely no chance of it happening.

We've already had his best years, in my opinion. He's not looked particularly convincing this season at City

Swap a 23 yr old worth about £25m for 2 players over 30, no thank you.

Would buy Bellamy for about £5m, but Barrys been and gone.

For what its worth, i would sell Young only if we had a ridiculous offer for either, i.e in excess of £25m.I don't want us being in the situation of last year where we got caught up trying to placate Barry all year.If they want to go and are going to play up, then let them go.

The only thing about AYoung and Milner is, if they have 2 yrs left, we are going to get x2 as much this summer as next summer, food for thought.

I'd take Barry back and hold no grudge. Pretty sure he'll be surplus to requirements at Citeh next season. He must know within himself that he hasnt played well, and you could argue that he would play out of his skin to prove something to the fans and himself.

I wouldnt get rid of Young though, but can see Barry improving our midfield alongside Petrov with Milner playing a more advanced role.

Barry.....never, i hold no grudges, but was never, and still not, convinced.

We are a better team without him, and with a couple of decent aquisitions in the summer, we will be better.
