Perhaps.

But I don't think many would complain if we'd had a relatively unknown forward making the kind of impact in C& B Rodellega has made.

Ultimately it's all about what they do on the pitch for us. Not where they have come from, how much they cost et.c. Those might be indicators as to a certain level of achivement already arrived at, but thats all they are.

Lets not gorget that this 'impact' is 11 goals in 49 games for Wigan!

Improvement on Heskey then, Then again 50 year old Gary Penrice would be a improvement.

For me:

Decent attacking right back.

Decent central midielder to replace Stan.

Decent forward to replace Heskey.

Decent squad midfielder to replace Sidwell (cause he's frickin woeful, as poor a player as I can recall in a Villa shirt).

Sell:
Heskey (I'd been previously saying Carew as well, but to be honest, I'd rather keep him in the squad, and let him play out his contract. He's still useful. He's looked fitter the last month, and has looked a threat. And despite being frustrating, you gotta love Big John the rogue, Big John the goalscorer!).
Sidwell
Beye
Harewood
Salifou
Osbourne
Shorey

For me a manager who knows how to win things, a manger who isn't still learning, a manager who has a CV full of success, a manager who can use what money the wonder that is Lerner gives to good effect so that in an important game against poor local opposition we don't have a bench that would suit a Div 1 side.

You can spend here to eternity talking about who you dream you want with Mon in charge it will remain that, a dream.

Even a side with the talent of Barca would suffer to win owt with no bottle O'Neill in charge.

Although thats very harsh, MON is now paying the price in poor performances on the pitch for his poor signings. I just dont think we're ready for 4th place this season as he needs to clear out the deadwood that served their purpose.

For the record, Darren Bent has just scored another 2 goals against Blues...if we had Bent instead of Emule then I'm sure we'd already be one step closer.

Missing Bent and Defoe (twice) when we did was criminal to be honest. Signing Heskey was craziness, but sadly inevitable. He's jet to deliver better than a 7/10. On the most part he delivers a 4 (I'm being generous).

A mobile striker...we missed gabby today.

A midfielder that can open teams up, link play quickly...

A right back if there is something up with Luke...just cannot understand why he aint playing...

Without doubt a new manager. We've had an incredible amount of luck this season. I don't usually agree with Andy Gray but he said 'statistics can distort facts' this is definately applicable when speaking about our defence.

Although 39 goals from 30 league games for a team apparently pushing for 4th place is probably the thing that confirms the fact that we aren't good enough, we all knew it would happen at the start of the season. He decided that we didn't need another forward, how wrong he has been proven.

What clichéd tripe.

I’m fucked off with O’Neill getting it wrong, but I think you’re miles off the mark there.

You see we keep getting away with shite performances. The football we play is dull to watch 90% of the time, thats why I couldn't give a toss that I havent been up this season for the first time in 26 years.

Watching the crap we turn out on Sky,ESPN or even ITV only supports my feelings.

I don’t agree. We were excellent at Wigan and garbage for the vast majority of today’s game, against poorer opposition. I think there was a lot of tactical errors that compounded such a piss poor performance and result, but I’m sorry as soon as somebody starts waffling on about intangible garbage like ‘luck’ my cliché meter explodes and I just switch off.

Some gossip is that were in for Stephane Sessegnon

I would get this guy he's exactly what we need!

Watch what he does on 1 minute fucking class...........

That's what Young should be doing instead of crossing all the time...

Fingers crossed i really hope we get him!

He was absolutely brilliant in the pre-season tournament that Arsenal host last Summer. I suggested we signed him then he looked a real quality number 10 we needed.
