I don't think we will see any earth shattering expensive buys. A clear out of Harewood and the like and in something along the lines of these possibilities:-
GK: Westwood (Coventry)
FB: Clyne (Crystal Palace)
MF: Mohamed Diame (Wigan)
FWD: Doyle (Wolves)

If we sell either Heskey or Carew then another foward of similiar bulk.

We could be consolidating a Champions League spot and you’ve got us preparing for life in the Championship!

Not my wants, in fantasy land I'd have Torres & Jérémy Toulalan.  But I don't think we will be making any headline making signings, just clearing out those who are highly unlikely to play and replacing with decent professionals like Collins and youngsters like Delph. At the same time bringing through our own youngsters, Fonz, Albrighton and co.

Last week I said Eden Hazzard and Carlton Cole.

Scratch Cole, Kallinic from Blackburn has impressed me hugely every time I've watched him, his link up play and touch is superb and he appears to have a genuine eye for goal.

I think he'd slot in lovely next to Gabby.

I too think he'd be a good player, and my niece who's a Blackburn player raves about him.  It just goes to show the sort of players out there if you extend the scouting network a bit.

He really caught my eye in both the league cup games. His movement in and around the box is very good, he can improvise himself a chance (something we don't have at the  moment), he's 21 and he's shown he can handle this league.

Ticks all boxes, and a very do-able deal.

I was thinking abaout this the other day. You don't really see clubs in our position (ie top 7 or 8) pluck players like this straight from the lesser leagues. The thinking I think is that they don't have to, as they can pay the higher premium once the player has proven himself in a more competetive league with a lesser light such as Blackburn, and they also play instead of rotting in your reserves while they find their feet.

Paveluchenco for example would have been better served with a year at Bolton before moving on to Spurs.

We're in a difficult position as once a player does prove their worth, there are bigger fish than us also sniffing.
